a. ḳédor ˁoyέghɛn tɛʰ wa-gédaḥk ho ˁámok heʸh ṣaḷ rího ˁaf ľaˁmέ ḷe-tɛʰ kor yeˁófeŝ ‘A boy was cooking meat. When I came, I said to him: “Put in more water so that it covers the meat and it boils”’ (CSOL II 3:8)

b. tέkidk ḷe-ˀírhɛz kor yóˁofŝ di-máḥḷe ‘I put the rice on a very hot fire so that it would boil quickly’ (CSOL II 25:3 fn. 5)

c. aˁfeŝ ˁag ḷe-ŝḥaf be-ŝiyáṭ ˁaf yeˁófeŝ ‘A man boiled milk upon fire, so that it boiled’ (Bulakh et al. 2021:241)

v. n. ˁofŝ.

Note the form yóˁofŝ in example b, with vowel syncope in the final syllable.
