a. wa-de di-yémos eḳníyoʰ ľázem yemáṭoḳ hes énṭen kor ḷaḷ stɛ tšemaṭíḳin mey ṭáˁam wa-tebéten ber matéṭaḳ ‘As for the man who mashes the food, he has to give her first a little bit to taste, so that she starts eating and recognizes its taste and realizes that it is tasty’ (Bulakh 2024:127)

b. éľľehe di-ḳέnhom ḷaḷ ṣábaḥ id-ḳáˁar wa-tšámaˁ ˁárhoʰ di-sfέri tšemaṭíḳin tebéten ber íno bíḷeʰ di-enḳarbéḷoʰ wa-bítoʰ ber yenokéˁen hes ḳέnhom ‘When a cow which is given food at home (because of drought) comes to the house in the morning and hears the sound of the pots (pushed around in the kitchen), she smacks her lips, smells the food and perceives that there is commotion (that people go hither and thither), and realizes that they are going to bring her some food’ (Bulakh 2024:127)
