a. gédaḥk sɛr múγreb id-ṭad di-ḥaḷf di-šker wa-ˀaḷ-yóukod fe ḷaḷ egodíḥin wa-ho aḥánok šéʸhen ‘I came to a nice area one evening. People were not concerned about my presence, and so I could eat as if I were at home’ (CSOL III 8:16)

b. ken meḳtiṣáreʰ ken šébek toš di-ˁáḷho wa-ˀaḷ-teḳtiṣírin kénhi ˁar šébek tḥánik díˀʸho be-ḳáˁar tóˀo aḥánok hóhon šeš ‘I thought you were a reasonable woman, and I thought you would not refuse out of modesty to take some food from me.
