gɛ́hɛmk ḷe-ḥaʰ ˁamḳ di-ŝáˁab wa-ḳóhobk wa-fóŝik ‘In the afternoon I came to Ŝaˁab, where I remained and had my lunch’ (CSOL I 18:32)

ľiḳáhab ˁeš díyeʰ di-ˀáḷḷaʰ ‘Goodness of God will reach you (in the afternoon)!’ (a greeting formula) (Naumkin et al. 2019a:90)

• ḳáhib to say good evening, to inquire about somebody’s well-being
• éḳheb to make stay in the afternoon, to converse with somebody in the afternoon
