a. ḳayyeséyt ˁámok ẓ̂ábi tegmáḥ ḥaʰ wa-ẓ̂ábi tegmáḥ be-ˀed wa-ẓ̂ábi tegmáḥ be-ŝɔb wa-ẓ̂ábi be-deʰ di-ˁad kaḷ ri ‘I sized up the situation and said: “Let her catch me here, let her catch my hand, let her catch my foot—anywhere but my head”’ (CSOL I 18:30)
b. wa-seʰ kiˀíyoʰ ke-díˀseʰ bέbɛʰ bíŝi ˁad kaḷ seʰ wa-díˀseʰ bέbɛʰ wa-díˀseʰ bέbɛʰ yenáfaˁ be-rénhem ‘She was left with her father, and there was no one but her and her father, and her father worked at sea’ (CSOL II 20:2)
c. wa-ˀirɛ́tes di-kíˀi wa-ˁad náˁaʰ deʰ ḷe-zɛm ˁayn di-meṣbíḥoʰ ma inḳáṭaˁ mes rího wa-ʸheʰ yengɛ́rger ḷe-kɛndhíyoʰ di-tímhɛr ‘Her survivors inherited all of this from her, and even now, to this very day the water from the spring of di-Mesbiho has not run out, but gushes forth from the foot of the palms’ (CSOL I 7:23)
