a. báˁad-aḷ míľaṭ yeḥóurɛ men ḳáľyof di-ḷéḳhɛm wáľľa ḳáľyof di-ˀéˀteb wa-ḷaṭ ougέˀɛn wa-bouḷógen di-ŝérhi wa-ˀouṭáben beʸh ‘After the hair is plucked from the hide, the bark of the ḷéḳham tree or the bark of éˀteb is sought out, which must be pounded. Then it is put into the hide and beaten into the hide’ (CSOL II 9:17)
b. éḳdomk di-baḥmírhɛr di-sedέkoʰ be-ri di-témreʰ ṭáhɛrk ˁámok dor di-ˀéˀteb wa-ḷaṭ ˁámok ˁátwaʰ wa-ḷaṭ ˁamok dor di-ˀéˀteb ḷe-ˁátwaʰ wa-ḷaṭ ˁö́ḳaḷk hes díˀseʰ be-sédek tóˀo gedóḥoʰ rebáẓ̂oʰ díˀseʰ be-sédek ḷe bes dor wa-gedáḥk tos wa-ḷoyk bes wa-ḷaṭ ḥezk tos ‘I saw a bird called di-baḥmírhɛr, who made a nest on the top of a date-palm, and I went and collected the resin of the éˀteb-tree, and then I made a triangular wooden frame and put some resin of the éˀteb-tree upon this frame, and then I put it into the nest, and when the bird came and sat down in its nest, it got stuck in the resin, and I came and seized it and slaughtered it’ (Bulakh et al. 2021:261)
