a. ˁö́mor tóˀo tegdáḥ des taˁámer hes ken ŝéraˁš wa-šéḳamš ‘He said: “As soon as you come to her, say to her: How ugly you are! How unpleasant you are!”’ (CSOL II 15:30)

b. ʸhónik šérhom di-men rénhem wa-ˀéẓ̂a wa-ˁö́ḳar tóˀo fέŝiˁ kánoʰ beʸh mihľóˁoʰ tóˀo gedóḥoʰ méde ṣefáḳotš ˁaf yešéḳem ‘I planted an imported tree. It sprouted and matured, and when its branches appeared, it gave good shade. Yet when the south wind came, it stripped the tree bare, and it became ugly’ (CSOL II 15:30)
