a. ṭahέrki ho wa-díˀʸho ḳáḳaʰ eṭarέdo míˀšer di-ˁeẓ̂ wa-yefóred tóˀo eráḥki ˁamḳ di-ḥaḷf ˁámok heʸh ḳádom ḥaʰ wa-keʰ gedéḥek míˀšer kḷoḷ wa-ˀaḷ-ľáˁzɛmk ˁö́mor ekḷóḷ wa-ˀaḷ-yaˁázom tho wa-ho ṭáhɛrk érˀoŝk míˀšer wa-gédaḥ míˀšer diˀáḷ díˀʸho ḳáḳaʰ wa-kḷeḷ heʸh wa-ḷe beʸh wa-gédaḥk toʸh ˁámok heʸh wa-ˀɛʰ aḷ-ˀaˁzémek míˀšer ˁö́mor aḷ-ˀáˁzem tho έhɛˀš díˀʸho be-ˀéˀed ‘We went to pursue a billy goat, my brother and I, and it was strong and skittish. Midway along, I said to my brother: “Keep watch here, and if the billy goat comes to you, throw a piece of cloth at it. Don’t let it disgrace you!” He said: “I will throw a piece of cloth and it won’t disgraced me.” And I went to put up the billy-goat, then it came to my brother, and he threw a piece of cloth at it and then seized it. Then I came to him and said: “Didn’t the billy goat disgrace you?” He said: “No, it didn’t! Here it is, in my hands”’ (CSOL II 8:27)
