wa-yegodéḥen megɔ́še diˀáḷ díˀʸhen dédoʰ tóˀo ľaˁgéb tɛʰ yeṣóḷeb ˁeʸh óˀoz di-ˁiṭámoʰ wa-ŝíbɛb díˀʸhen dédoʰ yeˀóugɛ dɛ́hɛr ṭánˀeʰ ‘And the boys used to come to their uncle when they wanted to eat some meat, and they would slaughter a fatted goat and the old man would be beaten—it was always like that.’ (CSOL II 8:4)

ŝínik ˁag di-šeʸh tɛ́ten ḷaḷ yaˁágob ľiṣḷɛ́b mésen wa-ḷaḷ yaˁágob ľirkɛ́b mésen ḥaʰ sen meʸh be-ḥédbeʰ dɛ́hɛr ḷe-nišéte wa-ḷe-ˀeẓ̂ími ‘I saw a man who has his own sheep. Whenever he wants to slaighter one of them or make a sacrifice for Immolation Day, they are always at hand, day and night.’ (CSOL II 15:19)
