‘Inner part of a tree branch, pith’:

ḳóuṣaf men ri wa-men ľéḥe góuḷof wa-ḷaṭ ḥóuṣaḳ ˁaf ľišέrḳaḥ mes ŝabḥ ‘And it (a branch) is cut from above and from below, then a small ring of bark is removed from it. Then it (the remaining bark) is twisted till the core of the branch goes out’ (CSOL I 18:4)
