‘To lead to a certain place (a road)’:

óˀo óˀorem di-teṭóhor Mekáľľa ‘Where is the road to Mukalla?’ (CSOL I 15:6)

‘To be finished, to stop, to die out’:

a. ˁö́mor ṭáyyeb ṭahέroʰ nóktaʰ deš di-ḥatóˀo ḳíṣṣaʰ deš ṭahέroʰ ‘The storyteller said: “Fine. This is the end of this tale. It’s over”’ (CSOL II 23:26);

b. wa-ṭáhɛr tímhɛr ľheʰ ľ-metényoʰ ˁésen ‘The palms granted as her wish have passed away’ (CSOL I 7:24)

‘To get spoiled, to go wrong’:

a. saḳt be-siyáraʰ béne ˁaf tóˀo éraḥk ˁamḳ di-ˀórem ṭáhɛr ḥe berík ‘I was driving fast in my car. Midway along the brakes gave out’ (CSOL II 15:24);

b. saḳt be-siyáraʰ tóˀo ḳóˁodk ŝégre ľeḥé ṭáhɛr mes gir ‘I was driving my car down a mountain road, and the transmission failed’ (CSOL I 24:12)

A marker of inchoation:

ṭáhɛr méľik wa-báˁaḷ ‘Off went the king and married (her)’ (CSOL I 26:107)
