этимология

Also in Jib. kɔ́núz ‘to put into a bag’, to which Mhr. kənūz ‘to bind hair with a leather thong; to bind, to wrap’ may be related with a shift of meaning. Outside MSA, cf. (with LS 221) Arb. knz VIII ‘to be fleshy, solid, compact’. In the basic stem, the Arabic root means ‘to bury (treasures); to hoard, to collect’, which must be denominative from kanz- ‘treasure’. The latter, in turn, is borrowed from an Iranian source (Jeffery 1938:251). In such a context, the MSA verbs are likely to be Arabisms.
