semantic notes
gέhɛ is the neutral term for ‘breast’ as the frontal part of the upper torso: érem díˀʸheʰ ḷe-gέhɛ ŝef di-délaḳ ‘There was much hair on his breast’. This term is opposed to tódi, which is applied to female breasts only: mébrehe ḳéyhɛn yeˁódeg tódi díˀʸheʰ di-bíyoʰ ‘A little baby sucks from the breast of his mother’ (Kogan 2015:490).
