ŝínik édbeher di-ˀéḳdaḥ (or: ḳádaḥ) be-meṣédeḳ ḥaʰ wa-ḥaʰ ṭeʸh šɔm édofk ḷe-ˁéšḳaʰ wa-ḷášaˁk toʸh ˁaf yeḳrímim ‘I saw a beetle, called édbeher, that had eaten holes here and there through the beams of the house. One day I took an (old) date cluster and smacked it so that it curled up (and died)’ (Bulakh et al. 2021:249)
