ḳáne ˁouyέghɛn e-nhɔfš raˁt wa-ḥérek ḷaˁmέr hey hábe ḷeḳráẓ̂ ˁank de raˁt aḷ-tómiˁ wa-yhe eḳṭínin men dö́ḥmo ˁámok hey éḳdomk nhɔfk ˁö́mor éḳdomk ˁámok bíŝi di-ˀerˁéšek kaḷ raˁt ‘One of my sons let his hair grow long. I tried to say to him: “May I cut your hair.” But he did not agree. Now the boy was extremely thin. I said to him: “Have you seen how you look?” He said: “Yes I have.” I said: “What makes you so lean is surely that hair of yours!”’ (CSOL III 36:3)
