May God turn their attention to the unfortunate men and women. Can anybody believe that the price of a bag of bran would reach 35,000 YR after it had been at 10,000? Can one call these traders Soqotris? And please don’t try to say that bran is not available – it’s just hidden to increase the price. The same is true of other foodstuffs: it is said they’ve run out, when in fact they’re plentiful, only to inflate the prices’ (CSOL III 13:13)
