ḳíḥaf hin šúrba di-škéro wa-miṭáḳo wa-ḥan šin ˁag dírhi wa-tóˀo kɛrhǝn getómen ebróḥo erbhíyo di-ṣáḥan di-šúrba ínoˀs bey ˁag de dírhi di-ˁégeb ľinṣáḷ bɛs ḥóste aḷ-ľinṣáḷ sö́ḳaḷ éˀed wa-ˀaḷ-te tóˀo ˁégeb ˁar yeraẓ̂íˀin tan ‘A good and tasty soup was offered to us, and there was among us an outsider. When we were just about to start eating, a locust fell to the bowl where the soup was. Now that man, the outsider, was about to get up, but he was ashamed to. He clearly had no appetite and forced himself to eat only to please us’ (ad-Daˁrhi et al. 2019:552)
