I was trying to figure out how to exterminate them, and finally came up with a trick: I set a trap on the roof of the house and then put some earth above the trap so that the ravens wouldn’t see it. Then I brought some dates as well as some poison, and put the poison inside the dates. Then I put this on the tongue of the trap on which the earth had been put’ (CSOL II 2:1)

Presumably related to Arabic ˀirtamā ‘to throw oneself on something/somebody’ (Wehr 418), but no struturally similar Arabic nominal source-word could be found in the available lexica (CSOL II:418).
