a. ˁéyyek ḷetgέr tɛ men soḳ tóˀo éraḥk aḷ-kések kaḷ ṭey óˀoz di-káno tóˀo ṭarb ˁámok bíŝi ˁad kal deš di-boḳ ˁö́mor ˁag wa-dšénˁa ˁámok aḷ-ˁéyyek deḥámo ˁö́mor aḷ-deḥámo ˁar eštébo men di-baḷ rího wa-ˀeḳníyo ‘I wanted to buy some meat from the market. As I came to the market, I found only one goat which was (thin) as a pole. I said: “Are there no other goats?” The man (the vendor) said: “And what about this one?” I said: “I do not want her, she is skinny”. He said: “She is not skinny, she is just emaciated because of lack of water and food”’ (Bulakh 2024:203)

b. de míˀšer di-záˁinš ímšin ṣéṭaˁ wa-ˀéšteb wa-ḷaṭ ho nátsaˁ ménhi éľbeb wa-ḥezk toy tóˀo ŝínik aḷ-ḳoténe bíḷe wa-ʸhe éšteb béne ‘This billy goat which we seized yesterdaywas hungry and emaciated. My heart was in pain on its behalf, and I slaughtered it, because I saw it was not given any food (for a while) and was very emaciated’ (Bulakh 2024:203)
