When I reached the top of the palm-tree, the owner of the tree came and told me: “What are you doing?” I said: “I’m about to cut a male inflorescence”. He told me: “I forbid you, becauseI’ve come myself to cut it, and I have palm-trees (with female inflorescences) over-ripe”. I got down, and then he climbed and cut it. And he gave me a slice of it’ (Bulakh et al. 2021:253)
