When I gave them to the women (as gifts), to each of them, some of them got less than others (because in some households there are more women and in others less). And I did not have enough (of dresses to give equal number to all of them). I said: “As for those women which were mistreated (during the distribution), I have to give them a bit of money in addition (to the presents)”’ (Bulakh 2024:160–161)
