ezˁómki ho wa-ˁag be-ŝέbŝeb di-ṭíyyo tóˀo ḷegnέno di-gέme aḷ-tŝóni kaḷ níyɛf di-ˀáḷḷa wa-raḥ di-yekteḷéˀen be-ṭíyyo édof ḥe ˁag men ḥérhen be-hazíḳ kor yekḷóḷ fe ḷe-méḳṣe wa-ḷe-ŝέbŝob di-ṭíyyo ˁámok hey émraˁk nɔ́fin ke-ˀáḷḷa ˁank ‘A friend of mine and I were sitting on the edge of a canyon. Whenever we leaned over to look down, we saw only the steep cliff faces of God and the wind whipping here and there in the canyon. My friend seized me from behind as a joke, as if to throw me down into the canyon from the edge of the cliff. I said to him: “I put myself in God’s hands against you!”’ (CSOL III 14:15)
