a. tóˀo ḥáḳḥeḳ ṣáˁbɛb di-séṭḥeʰ oukrániye aˁdérer έˀɛfo men boḳ wa-ˀékeb ker ˁáľem wa-di-kíˀi boḳ yɛ teṣbáḥ ˁeʸh yɛ aḷ-teṣbáḥ wa-kaḷ néṭfaʰ deš ḳínoʰ aˁdírir mes ḥes aḷ-ˁak tšámaˁ kaḷ bóši wa-ˀenḥayzízoʰ ‘When the swarthy, bald man shaked Ukraine, people from there had to go to far-off places and dispersed all over the world. As for the one who remained there, he cannot be sure whether he will meet the next morning or he won’t. And even a small creature loses its senses there, and you will only hear weeping and moaning’ (CSOL III 21:2)

b. ḷaḷ téken mɛnóḥoʰ be-ḥaḷf aḷ-šker wa-deʰ ḥéyhe di-ˁáḷho aḷ-yenádoḳ tέkɛn mɛnóḥoʰ ˁan mɛnóḥoʰ yešfɛŝéŝen mes έˀɛfo wa-yedér ḷe-fᵉzaˁ wa-ˀaḷ-téken déroʰ ṣibéteʰ wa-yaˁderéren ḷe-ker áˀḥḷɛf ‘When there is war in a land, it is not good, and a decent person will not allow a war to occur: people disperse because of the war and their life cannot be as before: they spread everywhere and live in fear, and their live is not normal and they will have to flee to all lands’ (CSOL III 21:2)
