a. wa-tóˀo gédaḥ ŝíbɛb égdaḥ díˀʸheʰ ṣóde ˁímɛr teḳáḷaˁ aḷ-ˁáden ˁegében bíŝi di-mírḥaẓ̂ kaḷ ṣóde fɔ́ne wa-bíŝi di-mírḥaẓ̂ kaḷ rího ‘Now when the old man came and brought his fish, they said: “Throw it away! We don’t want it anymore. For so long we ate nothing else but fish and drank nothing else but water!”’ (CSOL I 29:33)

b. ḷaḷ yeḳtíni ḥéyhe ṭeʸh eḳníyoʰ dέhɛr wa-waḳt di-déḷaḳ yaˁágob di-mírḥaẓ̂ wa-seʰ éyyeʰ eḳníyoʰ diyáḥŝes di-ˁóušor ke-deš eḳníyoʰ di-ḳatóunɛ fɔ́ne ‘When someone eats just one kind of food for a long time, he wants something new, that is, any kind of food in addition to what he has eaten before’ (CSOL I 29:33)
