Also in Mhr. ŝekəl, Jibbali ŝέkəl. As rightly seen by Johnstone (ML 378, JL 251), the MSA lexemes come close to Arb. šakl- ‘likeness, resemblance’ and may have been borrowed from it, with a specific shift of meaning (Naumkin et al. 2015b:57).
