a. édofk ḷe-ˁífef wa-ẓ̂óˁobk toʸh ídhɛn wa-ˀéṣḳakk hes díˀseʰ be-ˁífef wa-menáḷ ˁaḳ eṣaḳíḳin hes neṭóˁoʰ tóˀo bέder ˁaf tegodíḥin díˀseʰ di-ḥor ‘I took the kid and bit it in the ear, so I made it cry out (trying to coax its mother into coming). While I was making it cry out, the mother goat rushed down like a meteor and came to the shelter’ (Bulakh et al. 2021:260)

b. ṭérobk toˀo bέder ker ḥarf be-ˀenˁáyrher wa-ḥaʰ érhon ksö́we teṭáreb id-móľhim wa-tóˀo ŝínoʰ ḥe wa-himoˁoʰ ménhi ˁárho šɛkídoʰ wa-fizóˁoʰ wa-ḥtéṭfoʰ men móľhim wa-ˀaḷ-ˁédoʰ gɛhέmoʰ dšénˁaʰ šɔm ‘I went down like a meteor along the mountain slope, shouting. And there were some goats who were going to the milking-place. As they saw me and heard my voice, they were scared and frightened, and they rushed out of the milking place and did not come to it any more this day’ (Bulakh 2024:145)
