этимология

Etymologically uncertain. If related to ḳáŝor ‘cliff, rock in the sea’, cf. further Mhr. ḳeŝōr ‘rock on the shore sometimes covered by the sea’. Given the fact that ḳáŝre specifically designates a scratchy surface, derivation from PWS *ḳŝr ‘to peeľ is not to be ruled out.
