a. ḷaḷ nóuḥog yeḷóhom ˁag ḥóʸhi díˀʸheʰ be-ˀeṣábiˁ di-ˀéˀed wa-ḷaṭ yóuṭab ˁag di-kózi yaˁámer heʸh bar wa-ˀébˁad ḳáḷaḥam díre ‘When one plays this game, one player touches the soil with the fingers of his hand and then tags another on his shoulder and says to him bar wa-ˀébˁad ḳáḷaḥam díre‘ (CSOL II 14:40)

b. ˁámok e-ˁouyέghɛn tenáḥag še kárraʰ be-bɛrk wa-méyki di-fte ˁóuḷom fíˀoʰ be-ˀemtérek ‘I said to a boy: “Let’s dribble the ball on our knees! Whoever loses will get his face smeared with soot”’ (CSOL I I 17:9)

c. wa-ˀaḷ-tenḥág bek bíyyo di-gédhoḷ ‘May one with plaits not trifle with you, oh my son’ (CSOL I 20:5)
