a. wa-ľinḳéˁ beʸh ḷe-ker érḳad ‘And may the ropes holding him be cut on the ledges of the gorge’ (CSOL I 9:2)

b. ṭáhɛrk ḷe-ker bédoʰ wa-ḥérek ḷaḥrέ men órem tešráḳaḥ bɛr wa-ˀaḷ-ksek ˁaf efoḳíḥin bédoʰ kések érḳad di-yešráḳaḥ bɛr wa- šérḳaḥk ‘I was going along a path midway up a gorge and trying to find a way out, but did not find any till I reached the middle of the path. Then I found a ledged slope that led out and I got out’ (CSOL I 9:2)

c. éṭrobk ḥumár biľá bíššoḷ ker érḳad ˁaf tóˀo éraḥ ˁamḳ di-érḳad aḷ-ˁad tómiˁ ľiṭrέb aḷ-ʸheʰ ľeḥé wa-ˀaḷ-ʸheʰ ˁaľέ ‘I sent a donkey without a load over a ledged slope, but when it reached the middle of the slope it didn’t want to go farther, neither down nor up’ (CSOL I 9:2)
