From Arb. zaman-, zamān- ‘time’. Leslau (LS 153) is evidently correct to surmise that the loss of -an in Soqotri is due to a meta-analysis of Arb. zaman- as zέm-hɛn, where -hɛn was reinterpreted as the adverbial ending -hɛn, quite widespread in Soqotri.
