a. ḳáḷaˁ ˁag kérbɛʰ wa-ḷegέtoʰ ˁouyέghɛn wa-ˀeˀḷébotš ‘A man threw away a dried palm branch, and it hit a boy and hurt him’ (CSOL I 10:6)

b. égaḥk témreʰ wa-tóˀo éraḥk mes ḥanḳ natḥaẓ̂óʰ fe kérbɛʰ ˁaf hέben esóri ‘I climbed a date-palm. When I reached the place where the leaves start to grow, a branch (upon which my foot stood) got loose and fell down, so that I nearly fell down’ (Bulakh 2024:176)
