ṭánˀeʰ kanétoʰ mes ˁáyni ṣefr ľa deʰ ḥourírhin di-ˁayn wa-ľa-bíľeʰ ṣefr kɛ́ˀľiʰ 'And her eyes were like this — yellow, no pupils, nothing, just yellowness, both of her eyes.' ( CSOL I  18:18)

ḥíľeʰ téken ḳabľ aḷ-tfᵉẓ̂aḥ ḥaḷóḷeʰ wa-seʰ ˁédoʰ ḥóuroʰ wa-ḷaḷ tšᵉráḳaḥ men ḳánfer téken di-feṭáṭhɛn wa-ḷaṭ téken ḥíľeʰ  'An unripe date is a date before it gets ripe. It is as yet green (lit. black). When it appears from the pedicle it is called  di-feṭáṭhɛn , and then it becomes  ḥíľeʰ ' (field notes)
