2. fɔ́ne be-zamán έˀɛfo tóˀo yeṣ̌ˁírir wa-yegˀɛyrírin méʸhen mɛr men guˁ yefóger tímhɛr ba-ḥteʰ wa-ḷaṭ έˀɛfo ľheʰ iľ-báḥľe tímhɛr yeḥóger ḳáryeʰ wa-ḥaʰ méʸhen di-yídom wa-ḥa di-yeḥóger ˁan ródi deʰ di-yefóger ‘In times of old, when people’s bellies were rumbling and grumbling out of hunger, some would rob other people’s dates right off the trees in the night.
