tégork bᵉˁer wa-ʸheʰ ˁam etógerš dáḥam wa-ˀaḷ-šéṭbe záˁayk toʸh díˀʸho di-ḥaḷf wa-dέhɛr enomíṭenš men ékše wa-ẓ̂áˀed ˁaf ṭey šɔm dékof tho ‘I bought a camel, and at the time I bought it the camel was emaciated and not in good health. I took it home and began to pamper it with branches of e.-trees and Ziziphus trees all the time. But one day it kicked me.’ (CSOL II 5:16)
έˀɛfo ḷe-ḥaʰ be-di-šérḥeḳ ˁéṭem béne wa-yaˁágeb ḷέbin déḥem wa-šin faḳḥ di-ˀέˀɛfo yaˁágeb ľaˁṭém ‘There, in far-off lands, people are very fat and want to become thin. And in our land there are some people who want to become fat’ (CSOL II 8:4)
