a. ḷe-ˁóŝi éṣbaḥ díˀʸheʰ men éľľehe wa-ˀeṣbóḥoʰ heʸh éľľehe ḥizízoʰ béše ‘The next morning, he went to look for his cow and found it slaughtered. He started to weep.’ (CSOL I 8:7) 

b. wa-bóšik kẽʸh ḷe-díˀʸho sέrɛd ḥimbóbeʰ wa-ˀébẓ̂ak tho di-rebáẓ̂eʸh ‘Because of him I am weeping for my kid, Himbobe, the one who stole it deprived me of what was dear to me’ (CSOL I 9:8)
