a. naˁámer be-saḳɔ́ṭri ˁag keʰ áˁne íľʸheʰ érhon ṭeʸh šɔm wa-ḷaṭ ḥeḷɛbésen ḳarére yeˁúmor heʸh énḳeḷ íľʸheʰ érhon ‘On Soqotra, if someone has skipped milking his goats for a day and then milks them, it is said that the man énḳeḷ his goats’ (CSOL II 2:7)

b. še méʸhen eẓ̂yóˁo nékyoš oḥoḷébʸhen ṭeʸh šɔm men ˁesírhin wa-yeḥaľľebú énhi teḷeghέyo wa-ṭeʸh ʸhom oˁoníʸhen wa-deš sáˁaʰ di-ˀaḷ-ˀoˁoníʸhen wa-aḷ-yeḥaľľebú énhi taľľágaʰ ‘I have a few grown-up female goats who gave birth a while ago. I milk them in the afternoon and they yield me enough to prepare a little thermos of tea with milk. And the next milking I skip. And if I do not skip that milking, they do not yield for me enough for a thermos of tea with milk’ (CSOL III 17:16)

c. érhon ḷaḷ tšfátaḥ wa-tɛˀέboʸh wa-seʰ ḥóuḷob taˁágob ḷeˁnó kor tfáraẓ̂ ‘When goats are covered and become pregnant, and they are milked, it is required that one or two milkings are skipped so that their milk would become scarce’ (CSOL III 19:1)
