a. éṭrobk ḥumár biľá bíššoḷ ker érḳad ˁaf tóˀo éraḥ ˁamḳ di-érḳad aḷ-ˁad tómiˁ ľiṭrɛ́b aḷ-ʸheʰ ľeḥé wa-ˀaḷ-ʸheʰ ˁaľέ ‘I sent a donkey without a load over a ledged slope, but when it reached the middle of the slope it didn’t want to go farther, neither down nor up’ (CSOL I 9:2)

di-ˁaľέ ‘upwards’: 

naˁámer di-šérḳaḥ ŝégreʰ di-ˁaľέ bö́ḳaḷ ‘We say bö́ḳaḷ about someone who went up a mountain pass, upwards’ (CSOL I 17:25)

men ˁáľɛ ‘from above’:

wa-ˁímɛr hes ḥegíyeʰ wa-ḥegíyeʰ ˁímɛr hes trɔ tέri ṭad men ˁáľɛ wa-ṭad men ľéḥe ‘And a courtyard was built, and for the courtyard two doors were made, one from above and one from below’ (CSOL II 27:10).
