a. éḳdomk márˁaẓ̂ di-ˁotégem wa-ˀaḷ-ḳóˁod ˁeʸh rího wa-égaḥk kor enáḳof ˁãyš diyáˁ wa-yeḥóreg rího ˁan sɛk di-ḳáˁar ‘I saw that the gutter was clogged and the water couldn’t go down it, so I climbed up it to remove the dirt so the water could run off the roof of the house’ (field notes)

b. ˁotégem zéreg wa-bíŝi óˀorem ken maˁábher ‘The narrow path was blocked so that there was no way (through it) because of boulders’ (Bulakh 2024:103)

c. tégork héʸhen ṭeʸh ṭawíyaʰ di-šóuṣ̌a bes menáḷ ˁak éʸheṣ̌ bes ˁatégmoʰ ‘I bought a water-pipe to water them (the palm saplings). While I was watering with the water-pipe, it got blocked’ (Bulakh 2024:166) 

In the Vienna corpus, the verb is recorded with the meaning ‘to be stopped (flowing blood)’ (LS 298).
