ḷaḷ bóurɛ mébrehe nóuẓ̂a hey wa-móurot hey rího di-yenáḥa kor yeróubaḥ bey wa-yenóuẓ̂a hey be-ŝiyáṭ men ṣabḥ wa-ˁamd ˁaf tšárḳaḥ díˀyhe bíyyo men arbaˁín wa-kor yíken ṣáḥdɛd wa-ˀaḷ-ľákɛn ráˁẓ̂aẓ̂  ‘When a baby is born, he is warmed (rubbed with a hot rag). Then one prepares some hot water for him  to be bathed in it. And the baby is warmed (placed near a fire) twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, until its mother completes her fourtieth day (since the birthtime). This is to make him strong rather than a weakling’ (CSOL III 24:16)
