a. ḥéyhe ḷaḷ yeṣámi yedorégsen wa-yhe aḷ-ˁégeb ken ínhɛm ken ẓ̂íḥo di-ˀéľbeb ľiˀénne de di-ṣáme aḷ-ˁad yekténaḥ wa-ˀaḷ-ˁad yenáḥag šek wa-ˀaḷ-ˁad yešáṣheṣ ‘When somebody outlives a parent, his eyes flood with tears, even if he tries not to cry. Because of what? Because of pain in the heart. Because the one who died will not return, will not play with you, and will not make jokes’ (CSOL III 15:7)

b. wa-ḷaṭ embórye yeṭéher dey wa-yešréhek nhɔ́fšen menaḥágyhon men ḳaṣ wa-ḷaṭ yoˁóḳeḷ be-šéyhom ˁaf ľiḳŝéˁ wa-yešáṣheṣ béyhen ‘Then children go there and make toys from the clay for themselves. Then they put them out in the sun to dry, and they play with them’ (CSOL III 7:13)
