égaḥk éḳše náḥŝɛŝ  wa-di-niḳárhen wa-ḳášḳošk mey ṣáˁḷof e-ˀérhon kor stέyen tóˀo hímaˁ érhon ménhi ḳašḳáše wa-šemóˁo gédaḥ wa-šéḳnem
‘I climbed an éḳše-tree which was rotted out inside and full of hollows, and beat some leaves off it it so that my goats could eat. When the goats heard me beating (at the leaves) and calling them, they came and started to eat what I was offering them’ (CSOL III 14:8)
