a. ˁemɛro di-ho ˁážeʰ ŝínik bek nib wa-ˀɛ be-ˁámḳ di-ˀέˀɛfo wa-šfrɛyšk ˁek ‘My wife said to me: “I saw a nit on your head while you were among the people, and I was ashamed of you”’ (Naumkin et al. 2013a:78);

b. yekóusɛ ṭad ˁaf ḷaḷ yédrus wa-ḷaṭ yéfšeľ yešfɛroš wa-yaˁámər ḷóˀo ho fšeľt ˁan ľheʰ iľ-ˁad wa-yíboš ‘It happens that, when somebody studies and than fails to pass the exam, he feels ashamed and says: “Why was it me who failed, not the others?” And he weeps’ (Naumkin et al. 2016b:70).
