1. ‘To speak with somebody (direct object)’:

wa-ˀáˀḥaʸh yóuḳaf wa-ˀaḷ-yešmέtoḷ íľʸheʰ megɔ́še ‘Yet his brother kept silent and said nothing to his sons’ (CSOL II 8:11)

2. ‘to talk about (ḷe-)’:
