a. tóˀo ḥéṭabk ṭírob wa-tóbirk ṭarb éḳam tho di-ŝɔb gatḥᵃrík wa-šérḳaḥ ménhi éˀenṭ di-dor ‘As I was collecting firewood and I was breaking a dry branch, it hit my leg. I got scratched, and a bit of blood appeared’ (Bulakh 2024:168)

b. ḥómiľ ˁag ḷe-ḥamár be-méḳṭaf ö́bhon wa-ˀaḷ-ḥᵃḷe heʸh kaḷ ṭad meredífhin wa-ˁámor heʸh mednebéʰ wa-ḷaḷ yeṭáreb fiľágeʰ yégtḥor meʸh dénob wa-gátḥar ṭádaˁ men zemáľ di-ˀaḷ-ˀéṭar wa-ḷe-ḏ̣-ḏ̣uhr tóˀo énkaf díˀʸheʰ zemáľ men ḥamár kséˀeʸh gátḥar ṭádaˁ ˁaf yengeréḥen wa-ṭaʰ gatḥᵃróʰ meʸh mednebéʰ ‘A man loaded a donkey with a load-pack of stones, but he put only a small piece of cloth under it. Then he fixed a rope under the donkey’s tail. When they started to go down the bank of a wadi, the donkey’s tail got scratched, and its back got scratched because the harness was not well-fastened. In the afternoon, when the man released the harness from the donkey, he found that its back got scratched and wounded, and also the place under the tail where rope is fixed’ (Bulakh 2024:168)
