أصبح مقيدا، تقيد (الحلقة المحلولة)؛ انخنق؛ تفكك (الحبل)
1. éľľehe šin fére wa-ˁígɛb hes ḷeghóm di-módhir di-ẓ̂ayέfɛʰ ḳarére id-ṣabḥ wa-seʰ ˁímɛr hes meŝríṭoʰ di-ŝɔb wa-di-ḳáni ḳarére ŝtérṭoʰ ˁes meŝríṭoʰ di-be-ŝɔb ˁaf teḳráḥ mes ŝɔb be-ˀeŝtédhi ‘We have a cow which is prone to flee. One day we wanted her to be brought to the slaughtering place, (to be slaughtered) for a feast, next day in the morning. And a loop was made for her on the leg, and (another one) on the horns. Next day it turned out that the loop on the leg was too tight and the leg was nearly bursting with inflammation’ (Bulakh 2024:136)
2. ímḷɛk ṭad sέrɛd wa-ˁíḳaḷ be-ḳayd wa-ˀaḷ-ṣítɛt meʸh wa-ʸháḷaḥ wa-ˀébraḥ be-ṭádaˁ di-ˁarέbeʰ wa-fátḥaš sέres wa-ŝtérṭoʰ ˁeʸh wa-ṣáme ‘One kid goat was being tamed, and he was left alone tied with a rope, and nobody watched him. He jumped and got upon the roof of the fence, and then he fell behind it, and got strangled (by the rope) and died’ (Bulakh 2024:136)
3. wa-ʸhemáẓ̂oʰ férhem menáḷ ˁédoʸ tšámaẓ̂ ŝatéraṭ gézhɛr ḷe-ḥe wa-ˀébraḥ be-ṣáḳareʰ ‘The daughter began to shake the vessel, and as she was shaking it, the rope of the skin vessel got untied at one of the openings of the skin vessel (at the place where the goat’s anus was), and the skin vessel landed in dust’ (Bulakh 2024:136–137)
Example 2 demonstrates the impersonal employment of ŝtérṭoʰ ˁeʸh ‘he was strangled’ (the verb is in 3 sg. f. and, unlike the preceding example, no overt subject is present).
