égaḥ míˀšer ẓ̂áˀad minšidíḥoʰ wa-te mes díˀʸheʰ ḷe-ṭírib dáḥaẓ̂ wa-gédaḥ yéftḥoš wa-yebáraḥ be-gáḥi ˁan régom bɛʰ ŝɛténaḳ be-ḳɔn be-ˁáṣbeʰ wa-kóḷe eẓ̂ˁáyrher wa-hímaˁ ˁag di-nέhɛr óˀorem žer meʸh ḷe-ˁárho wa-bet ber šfóniŝ di-ŝɛténaḳ wa-ˀénḳef ˁãʸh wa-beḷέgiš wa-ṭáhɛr wa-ˀaḷ-ḥébor ḳέyri ‘A billy goat climbed a slanted Ziziphus spina-christi tree, and grazed upon its leaves (lit. ate from it). As he was going down, he slipped and almost fell down to the wadi, but got hooked by its horn upon a branch. He emitted a bleating, and a man who was passing by heard him and rushed to his voice: he guessed that an animal was hanging (on a tree). He released him and let him go. And the goat went away without being damaged’ (Bulakh 2024:159–160)
