Now that place was known to be haunted – something scary was there, and not many people would come there, unless they had to pass by on their way somewhere else. When I came down to the water and began to slurp from the wadi, my body suddenly became tense and covered with goose-bumps, and I understood something was there. I lifted my head from the water and, behold, a reptile appeared out the grove, from a hidden place, and it had horns, long and straight’ (CSOL III 10:23)
