a. éʸhork míˀšer ḥáḷḥaḷ diḥálḳɛ záḥi bekéľeʰ wa-ˁeẓ̂ wa-dáˁrhɛr tóˀo éraḥk fáẓ̂feẓ̂ di-ˁíṣ̌eʰ áˁbork toʸh mékľeľ wa-ˀéḳʸhe meḳyíhoʰ ˁaf yebáraḥ di-ˁíṣ̌eʰ wa-tóˀo šérḳaḥ men ḳáneʰ di-ˁíṣ̌eʰ kέtšɛb wa-ˀaḷ-ˁad éraḥ ‘I was following a dark-brown billy-goat, one horn of which was coiled. That billy-goat was tremendously huge, and very strong, and he was a feral goat. When I reached the bank of a pond, I threw a piece of cloth into his face. He jumped and landed in the pond. When he went out from the pond, he gave up the struggle, he could not do anything’ (Bulakh 2024:170)

a. wa-ʸhen déḷaḳ šin meˁö́woš yetéf beľá fέŝɛḷ ˁaf ľiktšɛb šéʸhen ḥéyhe wa-ˀíno di-yebóhoḷ díˀʸheʰ di-ḥaḷf wa-di-ˀézˁem aḷ-yešáˁŝe heʸh men fᵉzaˁ ḷaḷ yeʸhámaˁ téfoʰ di-kánoʰ ‘There really are too many bad apples among us, those who call for help without reason. They can drive one over the edge. It makes some people freeze in place even while standing, while others who are seated can’t even stand up out of fear when they hear such a cry’ (CSOL III 10:14)

b. keʰ íľaḥ šeʸh wa-ʸheʰ ézˁem ḥaʰ men di-yáˁŝe wa-ḥaʰ men di-teḳáṣafš maˁṭíroʰ díˀʸheʰ di-ḥaḷf wa-ḥaʰ men di-yéktšob wa-ˀaḷ-ˁad yešáˁŝe hiš men fᵉzaˁ ‘When told of such a thing while sitting, there are some who stand up, while others remain chained to their seat by the small of their back, while others get desperate and can’t to stand out of fear’ (CSOL III 10:14)
