a. wa-firˁún éʸhor id-ḳáneʰ ˁaf tóˀo éreḥ ˁamḳ di-rénhem ṭatébḳoʰ ˁeʸh rénhem firˁún wa-díˀʸheʰ ḥaráris ‘And the Pharaoh followed in, but midway into the sea, it closed upon him, the Pharaoh and his soldiers’ (ad-Daˁrhi et al. 2019:542)

b. ŝínik mébrehe di-ˀéḳref wa-ˀö́ẓ̂aḥ mɛr wa-ṭáhɛr meʸh sawáˀiľ wa-ṭatébaḳ meʸh mɛr men di-baḷ eḳníyoʰ ‘I saw a child who was suffering from nausea and stomach-ache, and he was very thin (lit. all the liquids went from him), and his belly was shrunken in because of lack of food’ (Bulakh 2024:137)
