b. ḷaḷ yeḳóḷem έˀɛfo be-ẓ̂ayέfɛʰ ḷe-darṣ yebötéwen deʰ di-yenáhar ḷe-darṣ wa-deʰ di-yedáraṣ ‘When people are going to jump trying to reach the mark during a wedding feast, it is known (approximately) who can jump beyond the mark and who cannot reach it’ (Naumkin et al. 2022:255-256)

With Naumkin et al. 2022:255, cf. Yemeni Arabic daraṣ = ˀaḍ-ḍayyiqu ḍidda l-ittisāˁi ‘narrow, impossible to broaden’. In the classical language, cf. perhaps nābun darṣāˀu = takassarat ˀasnānuhā kibaran wa-haraman ‘the teeth have got broken because of the very old age’ (TA 17 578).
